Edward (Edd) Olds was born on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. At age four he moved to the Washington, District of Columbia metropolitan area. Edd received Christ as his personal savior, was baptized and received the right hand of fellowship at age 11, at the First Baptist Church of Marshall Heights under the Pastorate of the Late Reverend, Dr. William Tyler. He answered the call to preach the Gospel in November of 1995 at age 31. Edd preached his initial sermon and was licensed on Sunday, February 25, 1996 and on Saturday, January 18, 2003 he was ordained, both at the New Hope Baptist Church, Forestville, Maryland under the Pastorate of Reverend, Dr. Robert E. White.

Edd has been blessed with a beautiful helpmeet, the former Sheilah McLean. They were joined together in holy matrimony on Saturday, November 21, 1992. Edd and Sheilah have two handsome and intelligent sons, Alston and Aaron. Edd's parents are Jacqueline Nedab and Edward Olds, Sr.
